README file - Tiny Tafel Editor v1.04 - 10/16/92 - Christopher E. Long
Description
The quickest and easiest tiny tafel creation and editing
utility ever!
Please refer to DESCRIBE.DOC for a more detailed description.
The Shareware Concept
Shareware basically means "Try before you buy." If you try a
Shareware program and continue using it, you must compensate the author
by registering it.
Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and commercial software.
Shareware authors are accomplished programmers, just like commercial
authors, and the programs are of comparable quality. (In both cases,
there are good programs and bad ones!) The main difference is in the
method of distribution.
Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software. You
should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook, whether it's
commercial or Shareware. The Shareware system makes fitting your needs
easier, because you can try before you buy. And because the overhead is
low, prices are low also. Shareware has the ultimate money-back guarantee
-- if you don't use the product, you don't pay for it.
If you find this program useful and find that you are using the
Tiny Tafel Editor after a reasonable trial period, you must make a reg-
istration payment of $10 to the author, Christopher E. Long, to support
its development. In return, you will be sent the latest version of the
editor, an unregistered copy of the Family Scrapbook genealogy program to
try out, and may use all future versions of the Tiny Tafel Editor without
further obligation.
Distribution
This program was originally distributed on BBS's as a compressed
file. The file extension may vary due to the many different file
compression programs that are in use.
TTED104.???
If you aquired this program in its uncompressed form and you
wish to upload it to a BBS, please use the above name. Replace the ???
with the appropriate extension (ZIP, ARJ, PAK, etc).
You may distribute unregistered shareware copies of the Tiny
Tafel Editor as long as you abide by the following:
1. Do not remove any files. Keep them in their complete form.
2. Do not remove and/or alter any documentation.
3. Distributors that charge a fee for their services must state
to their customers what shareware is and that the author
receives compensation only through registration.
Tiny Tafel Editor is copyrighted by its author and he retains
all rights to it. (Copyright 1992, Christopher E. Long)
Disclaimer
No warranties are expressed or implied concerning the Tiny
Tafel Editor. It is offered in an AS IS condition. The author and

Documentation
Because the editor has a substantial amount of help screens and
explanatory text programmed into it, I did not see the need to provide
additional documentation. If the users of this program indicate to me
that additional documentation is needed, I will provide it in a future
release of the program.

Reccomended Hardware
1. 640 kilobytes of base ram (maybe less...)
2. An IBM, Epson, or HP compatible printer (optional)
3. DOS version 3.0 or higher
Installation Instructions
I LZEXE'd the program so that it would be smaller (57k versus
134k). The only file that you really need is TTEDIT.EXE. You
should be able to copy it onto any disk and run it.
If copying files in DOS makes you nervous, just run the
INSTALL.BAT file that I provided. It will create a subdirectory
on your hard disk and copy the editor into it.
Example: 1. Put disk in drive A:
2. Type A: and then press ENTER
3. Type INSTALL C: then press ENTER
If necessary, replace the A: with the name of the floppy drive
that you are using and replace C: with the name of the hard disk
that you are using.
To start the program, run the file: TTEDIT.EXE
